In March, PREMIER Biosoft released the Beacon Designer 8.0 oligo design tool, with the ability to design primers across exon-exon and exon-intron junctions.

Cartagenia introduced in March the BENCH lab next-generation sequencing (NGS) solution for clinical data.

In March, Agilent released GeneSpring 12.0 for the analysis of NGS data and joint analysis at the pathway level across multiple “omics” platforms.

AJ Blomesystem, an Analytik Jena company, released readyLIMS, featuring a range of configuration options.

In April, CLC bio announced that the features of its DNA Workbench, RNA Workbench and Protein Workbench packages are now incorporated into the CLC Main Workbench for traditional sequence analysis and visualization. For network licenses, the new prices are $3,999 and $799 for industry and academia, respectively.

Media Cybernetics introduced the Image-Pro Premier processing and analysis software package, featuring support for multiresolution files.
