BioDiscovery and lab services firm AKESOgen announced a comarketing partnership.
In October, Cyrus Biotechnology signed a software licensing agreement with Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation to commercialize the SparksX protein folding identification software.
Simcyp, a Certara company, joined the EU-ToxRisk program, an international consortium of 39 partner organizations focused on in vitro nonanimal methods and in silico computational technologies for chemical safety testing.

For the year ending August 31, Simulations Plus revenues grew 59.8% to $13.4 million, 29% of which was due to the acquisition of Cognigen (see IBO 10/15/14). Excluding Cognigen, revenue grew 14.2%.
Product Introductions
RURO introduced in October FreezerPro and Sciency ELN as subscription-based, cloud-hosted software services.
PerkinElmer launched PerkinElmer Signals for Translational, a cloud-based data management, aggregation and analysis platform for pharmaceutical researchers, which integrates experimental and clinical research data from many sources and relates the data to scientifically meaningful concepts.
In November, Dassault Systèmes introduced three new solutions experiences for life sciences: ONE Lab, which integrates people, resources, processes, data, analysis and documentation for efficient collaboration; Made to Cure for BioPharma, which leverages process and quality data and knowledge across multiple organizations and geographies; and Designed to Cure, which uses collaboration, common knowledge, predictive analytics and virtual design and simulation to model and identify higher quality candidates earlier in the process.

Simulations Plus announced in September that the FDA’s Office of New Drug Products, Division of Biopharmaceuticals, placed an order for 50 additional licenses to its GastroPlus software.
