KineMatik named Michael G. Jarjour president and CEO in January. Previously, he was vice president of Global Marketing for Organon.

Genomatrix Software GmbH joined the Illumina-Connect program in January.

Labtronics licensed the KnowledgeTree Document Management Software for bundling with its LimsLink application as a cobranded Nexxis SDMS product.

Sciformatix entered into a partnership with E&K Scientific for distribution and resale of its SciLIMS product in California.

Advanced Chemistry Development (ACD/Labs) and Pharma Algorithms have joined forces and plan to completely integrate their products. Pharma Algorithms’ products will be exclusively distributed by ACD/Labs.

DNASTART entered into a distribution agreement with Infogen Bioinformatics in February for its ArrayStar product line for the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Greece.

Product Introductions

Jubilant Biosys launched Legend NGSS for high-throughput screening, which allows the capture, storage and analysis of Oracle 91/10g–based screening data.

Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced Thermo Scientific Darwin 3.0 for pharmaceutical manufacturing R&D and QA/QC. New features include tools for solution and reagent inventory management and for instrument calibration and maintenance.

CLC bio released CLC Genomics Workbench 3.0, featuring new tools for digital gene expression, expression analysis of microarrays and RNA-seq data.

CLC bio introduced its first enterprise-level product line in February, consisting of the CLC Science Server and CLC Genomics Server.

Amphora Research Systems launched the PatentSafe Personal Edition electronic lab notebook for early-phase companies with up to five researchers.

Golden Helix released SNP & Variation Suite 7 for candidate gene and whole genome studies, which is designed to provide a complete and intuitive framework.

Stone Bond Technologies introduced MicroLIMS, a affordable, online Software as a Service solution for microarray core laboratories.
