Swiss-based Genohm opened its first US office in Durham, North Carolina, in March.

Laboratory information system provider Sunquest Information Systems acquired GeneInsight in April. GeneInsight’s platform provides streamlined analysis, interpretation and reporting of complex genetic results to geneticists. GeneInsight Lab assists with variant annotation and filtration, knowledge management and interpretative report generation. GeneInsight Clinic is a hosted clinician interface. GeneInsight VariantWire is a networking infrastructure designed for high-throughput transfer of structured genetic data.

eMolecules and World Fusion announced the integration of their respective drug discovery e-commerce solutions and Life Science Knowledge Bank.

Under a partnership agreement, Dotmatrics announced an eMolecules component for chemical sourcing and procurement.

Cloud-based informatics and data management firm DNAnexus partnered with SolveBio, provider of the Genomic Intelligence Platform, to integrate their platforms.

Simulations Plus released in April the DDDPlus 5.0 in vitro dissolution experiment simulation software. New features include simulation of in vitro dissolution of coated bead, coated tablet and bilayer tablet dosage forms.

In May, Benson Hill Biosystems introduced CropOS, which uses data analytics and biological knowledge to identify the most promising plant genetics in weeks.

In May, Thermo Fisher Scientific announced native mobile capabilities for the Thermo Scientific SampleManager LIMS.

In June, ImageQuantify.com launched the Sox2 Vessel Proximity Analysis IQbot for quantitative preclinical image analysis and data aggregation.

Certara introduced D360 Express, an easy-to-deploy, self-service solution for scientific data integration, analysis and visualization.

As part of a strategic partnership with ChemAxon, IDBS introduced in July the E-Workbook for Chemistry module. It supports synthetic organic workflows in discovery chemistry.
