In March, Freeslate announced a partnership with the Center for Intelligent Research in Crystal Engineering (CIRCE), a CRO, for utilization of CIRCE’s predictive modeling for solid-state challenges.

Tecan proposed Lars Holmqvist as a new Board member, replacing Erik Walldén. Most recently, he was senior vice president, and president of Life Sciences and Diagnostics at Agilent Technologies.

Tecan introduced the T8+ and D4+ Dispenseheads for its HP D300 Digital Dispenser, allowing for titration of low volumes of biomolecules in aqueous solutions.

In December 2014, BioTek Instruments introduced the Cytation 5 Cell Imaging Multi-Mode Reader, its second-generation Cytation Imaging Reader. The microscopy module provides cellular visualization up to 60x magnification in fluorescence, brightfield, hematoxylin and eosin, and phase-contrast modes.

In February, Analytik Jena introduced the CyBio Overture liquid-handling software, featuring a protocol designer and multiple automated features.

Hamilton Robotics launched the PlateCrane SciClops, a self-calibrating platecrane, which automatically aligns the robot workcell with every instrument.
