Misonix sold its Laboratory and Forensic Safety Products business, which had fiscal 2011 revenues of $2.1 million, to Mystaire in October 2011 for $1.5 million plus a potential payment. The business provides ductless fume hoods, and laminar airflow and PCR workstations.

Product Introductions
Corning launched the HYPERStack Cell Culture Vessel, with a multilayered design based on gas-permeable film technology. The HYPERStack-12 has a 6,000 cm2 growth area. The HYPERStack-36 has an 18,000 cm2 growth area.
Stirling Ultracold introduced the Model SU105U ultra-low freezer, a 105 L cabinet that delivers uniform -86°C storage on less than 200 W electrical power.
BD Biosciences introduced the BD Falcon Multi-Flask multilayer cell culture device, available in three- and five-layer designs, that provides the same footprint, reagent volumes and cell-seeding densities per unit area as single-layer flasks. It features a mixing port that allows cells and media to be mixed inside the flask.
