In March, Halma acquired Wagtech’s Water Technology Division for £3.0 million ($4.9 million). The Division, which supplies water test kits and arsenic test kits, was merged with Palintest.
Esco named XQ Lin CEO in March. He previously served as president of the North American subsidiary.
Biohit announced in March a net sales target for its Liquid Handling business of €50 million ($68.9 million) in 2013, representing growth of more than 10%.

AWEL International launched its compact 3 L Centrifuge series and the MS 20-R refrigerated high-speed compact centrifuge, which offers 23,000 rpm/36,000 x g performance.
In March, Shimadzu Scientific Instruments introduced the ATX/ATY Series analytical balances, ranging in capacity from 82 g to 220 g.
EMD Millipore/Merck Millipore launched the Samplicity Filtration System, a high-throughput alternative to syringe-tip filters for chromatography sample preparation, that allows up to eight samples to be simultaneously vacuum filtered. It is designed for use with Millex Samplicity filter units in either a 0.5 µm or 0.2 µm pore size.
Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced the Thermo Scientific Gallery Plus discrete photometric analyzer, a higher-capacity Gallery system designed to handle up to 350 tests per hour with on-board sample capacity of 54 and reagent capacity of 42.
In March, Corning Life Sciences released Corning Reusable Plastic Ware, a new line of reusable plastic liquid-handling products and volumetric ware, including PP and PFA beakers, PP graduated cyclers, and volumetric flasks in PP, PFA and PMP.
In April, Mettler-Toledo introduced the PHS (professional) and PHR (portable) product lines of pharmacy-specific precision balances.
