Carestream Molecule Imaging and the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research signed a five-year partnership agreement in May to support the development of novel preclinical-imaging approaches in oncology using the Carestream Albira trimodal-imaging system.
In May, Axela appointed Isogen Life Science as a distributor for Benelux and Spain.
OpGen formed a public health consortium in May to evaluate its Whole Genome Mapping technology as an enhanced method for strain typing micro-organisms that cause disease outbreaks. The consortium is comprised of the Association of Public Health Laboratories, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the University of Maryland Institute for Genome Sciences and 11 US state public health labs.
In May, Life Technologies and OpGen signed a collaboration agreement to develop systems, technologies and applications intended to improve the management and surveillance of microbial outbreaks in the public health and infectious disease markets, with a focus on combining the companies’ respective Whole Genome Mapping and Ion Torrent sequencing technologies for food outbreak and infectious disease analysis. Life Technologies also joined OpGen’s public health consortium.

Bio-Rad Laboratories released in May the ProteOn LCP Liposome Capturing Kit and ProteOn GLC Lipid Kit for its ProteOn XPR36 protein-interaction analysis system.
In May, ForteBio, a Pall company, launched the Dip and Read Ni-NTA biosensors for use on its Octet and BLItz instrument platforms for rapid and direct quantitation and kinetic analysis of HIS-tagged biomolecules.
