Company Announcements

Agilent announced in April a comarketing agreement for GC Image’s LCxLC Edition software.

In April, YMC established a subsidiary in Taiwan.

Semba Biosciences announced in May that it will distribute ChromWorks’ Simulation Software.

In June, SiliCycle announced the acquisition of Chromatography Sciences Company (CSC).

LEWA exclusively licensed Bayer Technology Services’ EcoPrime process HPLC technology, for which it supplies pumps, and will handle the continuing development, marketing and manufacturing of the systems.

Product Introductions

Biotage launched in April the Isolera Spektra flash chromatography system. Post-purification spectral analysis can be conducted in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional displays.

GE Healthcare released in April the Capto Core 700 multimodal resin for intermediate purification and polishing of viruses and other large biomolecules.

In May, GE Healthcare introduced Capto L affinity resin for the purification of antibody fragments.

In April, Thermo Fisher Scientific released new Accucore C8 HPLC columns for analytes with medium hydrophobicity.

Agilent introduced the 1290 Infinity 2D-LC system for comprehensive and heart-cutting two-dimensional separations, featuring a new 2D-LC valve and software that enables configuration of 2D-LC methods in minutes.

Agilent launched new software for gel permeation/size exclusion chromatography (GPC/SEC), which can be used across both Agilent and former Varian systems. It builds on Agilent OpenLab software components.

Agilent released the 218 Flash system, 1260 Infinity analytical-scale and preparative-scale systems, and the SD2 purification system, which cover flow rates from microliters to 1.2 L per minute.

MassTech introduced the LCP thermo-stabilized platform for high-temperature LC separations. It features an integrated nanoLC with electrospray ionization (ESI).

In May, Shimadzu launched the Nexera Quaternary system for pressures up to 130 MPa. It enables mobile phase optimization for up to 16 solvents for method development and can be upgraded to the Nexera Method Scouting system with six column selection functions.

Shimadzu released the Ghost Trap DS-HP “ghost peak” removal column, codeveloped with Daiichi Sankyo, for UHPLC applications.

BAC introduced the CaptureSelect C-tag affinity matrix for one-step purification of any C-tagged protein.

In June, Phenomenex launched the Yarra aqueous SEC columns for biomolecule analysis, which are offered in three phases with 3 µm particles.
