Product Introductions

GE Healthcare introduced Capto ImpRes ion exchange chromatography media for late-stage purification of a wide range of biomolecules. The first products to be launched are the Capto SP ImpRes strong cation and Capto Q ImpRes strong anion exchangers.

GE Healthcare released MabSelect SuRe LX, a protein A–derived affinity medium for processing of high-titer bioreactor feeds, which is optimized for high dynamic binding capacity at extended residence times.

Biotage introduced 750 g and 1500 g cartridges for its SNAP XL for reversed-phase chromatography and optimized silica for the separation of amines.

In March, Shimadzu launched the Co-Sense for Impurities System, an HPLC application system for the reliable separation of trace impurities in drugs, featuring online sample concentration and 2-D separation. It is the latest in a series of LC application systems jointly developed with Eisai.

Agilent launched the 971-FP Flash Purification System, a personal flash chromatography system for pharmaceutical applications, featuring a new software interface.

Agilent introduced the Intelligent System Emulation Technology for its 1290 Infinity LC, which accelerates and facilitates inter-lab LC method transfer.

Thermo Fisher Scientific released the Thermo Scientific Syncronis range of highly reproducible HPLC columns, which is available with 5 µm and 1.7 µm particle sizes. The company also released the EASY-Column for nanoscale HPLC, which uses metal-free fused silica.

Thermo Fisher Scientific announced new Thermo Scientific Atlas Chromatography Data System instrument-control software for the Shimadzu Prominence and Prominence XR HPLC.

Dionex introduced the ProSwift ConA-1S affinity monolith columns; the Acclaim RSLC 2.2 µm reversed-phase, 2.1 x 250 mm columns for use up to 1200 bar pressure; and the Acclaim RSLC Carbamate 2.2 µm columns.

Bio-Rad Laboratories launched its automated, integrated Chromatography Station and InPlace Control Console for small-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The Chromatograph Station includes the compact Process Skid 00, the PrepStation for media transfer and column lifting, and columns.

Pall released the compact, modular PKP Chromatography systems, featuring a flow range of 1–150 L/h. Pall also released the Resolute FM columns, which are available in diameters of 100 mm, 140 mm and 200 mm and feature a tilt mechanism to facilitate air removal.
