Product Introductions

TA Instruments, a Waters company, launched the Affinity ITC, a fully automated titration calorimeter, featuring a wide range of stirring speeds and walk-away automation.

In June, TA Instruments introduced a modular microscopy accessory for its Discovery Hybrid Rheometer for advanced microscopy under flow.

Linkam Scientific and Cyversa introduced in March the VISTA, which combines thermal analysis with optical microscopy to capture images of a sample during an experiment. It consists of a VISTA Imaging Station and DSC600 VISTA hot stage and Cyversa’s image processing software module. This “Thermal Analysis by Structural Characterization” is the first of a family of analytical modes for the VISTA platform.

Newage, an AMETEK company, launched a new generation of Versitron Rockwell hardness testers, featuring a full-color touch screen display.

In June, Spectro Scientific released the MiniLab 53 on-site oil analysis system, which combines tests to monitor lubricant chemistry, contamination and machinery wear in one unit.

Mettler-Toledo launched the DSC 3+ and TGA/DSC 3+ thermal analysis products. The DSC 3+ features premium furnace and sensor technology. The TGA/DSC 3+ features a thermogravimetric analyzer that can measure up to 50 million resolution points continuously down to 0.1 µg for a 5 g sample weight.

Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced the Thermo Scientific HAAKE MARS (modular advanced rheometer system) 40 and 60 rheometers, designed for ease of use and customization.

Fritsch released the Analysette 28 ImageTec for the analysis of particle shape and size with wet measurement. It can be equipped with up to five lenses.

Malvern Instruments launched the Viscosizer TD, based on Taylor Dispersion Analysis, which offers solution-based molecular sizing capabilities combined with relative viscosity measurement.
