Product Introductions

Entelos and RegeneMed released iToxFX for screening novel compounds for potential toxicity issues. The software works exclusively with Affymetrix microarrays.

Affymetrix launched Axiom Custom Genotyping Arrays, which leverage the company’s Axiom Genomic Database, for the design of arrays containing 50,000 and up to as many as 2.6 million SNPs.

Aushon Biosystems introduced the Human Nephrotoxicity Panels, which are multiplex biomarker panels for the quantification of eight biomarkers related to drug-induced kidney damage.

Ocimum Biosolutions launched a range of miRNA microarray kits and assays on its OciChip platform. The epoxide-coated microarray slides feature multiple arrays per slide.

Gentel Biosciences released the cost-effective APiX Disease Profiling Kit, which combines Gentel’s APiX chromogenic detection platform and Clontech’s single-capture antibody array technology.

Gentel Biosciences launched 13 APiX Human Tumor Profiling Kits, tissue-lysate protein arrays and chromogenic-based detection reagents. The Kits combine APiX technology with Protein Biotechnologies’ normal and diseased human tissue collection.

In September, Oxford Gene Technology introduced the CytoSure ISCA UPD 4 x 180 k array for the simultaneous detection on a single array of DNA CNV and whole-chromosome uniparental disomy using SNP probes.

Agilent launched the SurePrint G3 Human CGH+SNP microarray platform for simultaneous analysis of chromosomal copy number changes and copy-neutral aberrations. They measure 60,000 SNPs.

MicroDiscovery GmbH released GeneSpotter 4.0 software for microarray image analysis.
