Illumina released the next-generation High-Density Bovine BeadChip array product using its Infinium HD assay. It can interrogate more than 500,000 loci.

Illumina introduced the 12-sample HumanOmni Express BeadChip for genome-wide association studies. It allows interrogation of over 70,000 variants per sample.

Illumina released the new HumanOmniExpress+ Custom BeadChip for genotyping customization for genome-wide association studies. It allows for the addition of up to 200,000 custom variants for a total of >900 k variants per sample.

Ambry Genetix launched the 44 k StemArray product and services for higher-resolution karyotyping of stem cells.

NanoInk released the Human Inflammation Cytokine Assay protein array kit, featuring 1 x 3 in. glass slides, each composed of 18 sub-arrays with 48 features per sub-array.

Oxford Gene Technology introduced the 98 x 60 k, 4 x 180 k and 4 x 44 k CytoSure ISCA aCGH arrays.

Millipore released the Magna ChIP2 Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChiP) DNA microarray kits, which contain reagents, Agilent promoter microarrays and validated protocols for the entire ChiP-chip workflow.

Affymetrix launched the GeneAtlas Personal Microarray System for whole genome gene expression. It is designed as an affordable solution for researchers with no microarray experience, low- to medium-throughput service labs, educational labs and emerging markets. It features a new array strip format for interrogating four distinct samples simultaneously.
