Product Introductions

Randox Laboratories launched the Evidence Investigator for the analysis of 54 samples per run in research, veterinary, clinical and forensic applications. Its biochips are 9 x 9 mm solid substrates with multiple Discrete Test Regions arranged in an array on the surface.

In October, Affymetrix launched the Axiom Genotyping Solution for whole-genome association and candidate gene association studies. It employs enzyme-mediated, single-base sequencing steps for specificity that allows random access to the genome. The solution consists of Axiom Array Plates, Axiom Reagent Kits, a target preparation station and the GeneTitan. Multi-Channel Instrument.

Oxford Gene Technology introduced the CytoSure DMD array, featuring a 4 x 44 k format, which are manufactured by Agilent.

Oxford Gene Technology released new CytoSure Interpret software for oligo aCGH data.

Roche Applied Science launched the NimbleGen CGX array for cytogenetic analysis, which are designed by Signature Genomic Laboratories, for the simultaneous analysis of 3, 6 and 12 samples.

In December, ExonHit Therapeutics released the blood-based AclarusDx Alzheimer’s test for research use.

Agilent introduced GeneSpring GX 11 and GeneSpring Workgroup 11, featuring the new genome browser for plotting multiple data types as tracks in the same view.
