Andover, MA 3/18/15—MKS Instruments, a provider of instruments, subsystems and process-control solutions, has acquired Precisive for $13 million in cash. Precisive develops optical analyzers based on Tunable Filter Spectroscopy (TFS) for real-time gas analysis in the natural gas and hydrocarbon-processing industries. Precisive has over 2,500 systems deployed. “We have previously said we are looking for opportunities to invest in growing our business in process and environmental markets and this is the first step in a multiphased approach to execute on that strategy,” stated MKS CEO and President Gerald G.
