X-Rite released NetProfiler 3.0 to verify, optimize and certify handheld and benchtop spectrophotometers used at locations worldwide on a regular basis. It now includes embedded profiling capabilities.

Picarro launched the Surveyor for Natural Gas Leaks, based on cavity ring-down spectroscopy, for natural-gas pipeline leak detection. It measures methane plumes in the air, maps them and immediately alerts users and repair teams. It consists of vehicle-mounted hardware and software running on the P-Cubed cloud-based platform.

Datacolor introduced in January the 45G handheld spectrophotometer with integrated gloss measurement.

Los Gatos Research released the ultra-portable greenhouse gas analyzer, which reports methane, carbon dioxide and water vapor with parts-per-billion precision. It is based on Off-axis Cavity Output Spectroscopy.

Los Gatos Research introduced a triple isotope analyzer for the direct simultaneous measurement of delta-170, delta-180 and delta-2H ratios in liquid water and water vapor samples.
