Product Introductions

PG Instruments introduced the cost-effective T62 and T92 UV-Vis spectrometers.

Advantest launched the TAS7000 3D-imaging analysis system, utilizing terahertz wave technology for performing structural, chemical and quantitative distribution scans. It is initially being marketed to the automotive and heavy-equipment industries.

TRICOR Systems released the Model 600 noncontact imaging spectrophotometer, which is capable of measuring reflective, transmissive and emissive color over areas of 380–780 nm at one time.

StellarNet introduced the low-cost SpectroRadiometer system designed to characterize and evaluate solar simulators. It consists of a portable UV-Vis-NIR fiber optic spectrometer and fiber light receptor.

ANDalyze released the AND1000 Fluorimeter and Lead100 Sensor for on-site detection and measurement of lead levels in paint. The Sensor uses a DNAzyme reaction that fluoresces in the presence of lead.

ADS introduced the Field Spec HandHeld 2 spectroradiometer, a portable system using NIR spectroscopy that features on-board display and data-collection rates that are three times faster than the standard model.

Picarro and IsoForensics introduced the Milk Origin Verification Solution, based on their respective cavity ring-down spectroscopy stable isotope analyzer and isotope-fingerprint database. It is the first in the companies’ suite of food origin–verification solutions.

SPECIM, Spectral Imaging launched the SisuCHEMA chemical-imaging workstation based on NIR for chemical-composition mapping in tablets and blending powder samples, tablet-coating inspection and counterfeit product detection. It can be used for lab and process applications.

Thermo Fisher Scientific released the GRAMS Suite spectroscopy software 9.0, which can find and transform all of the spectra on a hard drive to a standard format.

X-Rite introduced the MA94 and MA96 spectrophotometers, with a more robust method for measuring flexible or curved surfaces.

Mettler-Toledo AutoChem released the ReactIR FT-IR 15-reaction analysis and reaction-monitoring system.

Smiths Detection introduced the portable HazMatID 360 chemical identification system based on FT-IR, which can identify more than 32,000 solids, liquids and gels.
