Product Introductions
Shimadzu launched in August the iMScope TRIO, an advanced imaging-technology platform that supports morphologic imaging from an optical microscope overlaid with molecular-distribution images generated by an ion trap TOF MS for a spatial resolution of 5 µm.
In September, BIOCRATES Life Sciences introduced kits based on target metabolite quantitation for the determination of endogenous bile acids. A panel of up to 19 analytes can be simultaneously quantitated from a 10 µL sample of human or mouse plasma.
Shimadzu released a glycolipid-specific library, containing information on 258 types of glycolipids.
Biognosys introduced Spectronaut 6.0 for the analysis of hyper-reaction–monitoring data. Previously available to the academic community, Spectronaut is now available to industry researchers. New features include QC methods for user libraries and a 40% improvement in speed.
In September, BaySpec released the Portability portable MS, which weighs less than 7.7 kg (17 lbs). It is ambient-desorption–ionization compatible, detects positive and negative ions, and has a low-ppb–detection level.
Extrel introduced the MAX300-EGA quadrupole MS, designed for the analysis of off-gas from thermal analyzers or other continuous-flow systems.
