NETZSCH Adds to Thermal Analysis Portfolio
The acquisition adds to NETZSCH’s thermal analysis offerings for composites and rubber testing, which include calorimeters and DMAs. Gabo Qualimeter’s products include a high-temperature DMA, and a range of sample holders and accessories, some of which are specialized for particular niche applications hard to address with more general thermal analysis systems.
Selb, Germany 7/9/15—NETZSCH-Gerätebau, a provider of thermal characterization systems, has acquired Gabo Qualimeter Testanlagen for an undisclosed amount. Located in Ahlden, Germany, Gabo Qualimeter is a supplier of high-force dynamic mechanical thermal analyzers (DMTAs), and supplies systems for tire and rubber testing. “This undertaking will enable us to offer an even broader product range to many sectors, especially rubber and tire, composites, and high-temperature materials—and all from a single source,” commented Dr. Thomas Denner, head of NETZSCH’s Analyzing & Testing Business Unit, and Dr. Jürgen Blumm, managing director of Marketing & Sales.
