NextGen to Exit Instrument Business

NextGen offers software, automated workstations for life science research and 2D electrophoresis gels. For the first half of 2007, product sales increased 32% to $799,818 (see IBO 6/15/07).

Huntingdon, UK 4/23/08­—NextGen Sciences has announced that it plans to divest or dissolve its software and instrumentation business and its protein production business within the next six months. The company intends to focus on its life science–research service business, particularly biomarker services. The company also plans to move its headquarters to the US.
