Magritek and ACT introduced the 2 MHz NMR Rock Core Analyzer for analysis of core samples from hydrocarbon reservoirs.

PicoSpin launched the picoSpin-45 NMR spectrometer, a 45 MHz liquid-phase proton NMR system, which is the size of a shoe box and offers a resolution of 80 ppb with a sample volume of less than 40 mL. The suggested retail price is $20,000.

Bruker announced in September an order from the University Maryland School of Medicine for the AVANCE III 950 US2 NMR spectrometer. It will be the second 950 MHz actively shielded NMR magnet in North America. It was funded by a $7.9 million grant from the National Center for Research Resources as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Bruker announced an order from the National Institute of Standards and Technology for the AVANCE III 900 US2 NMR spectrometer. The purchase was funded by the ARRA.
