Bruker announced in November 2011 a collaboration with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to develop and distribute new structural biology methods and tools to integrate small-angle X-ray scattering with NMR.

In March, Oxford Instruments entered into an agreement for Active Spectrum to develop and manufacture micro-electron magnetic resonance (EMR) products to be sold by Oxford Instruments.

Product Introductions

Oxford Instruments Magnetic Resonance introduced the AffirmoEX benchtop EMR system, which is offered with a curriculum package for teaching professionals.

Sales/Orders of Note

Bruker announced in November 2011 an order for four ultra–high field AVANCE NMR systems (a 950, an 800 and two 700 MHz systems) from the Central European Institute of Technology.

In December 2011, the National Management Committee of the UK MHz Solid-State NMR facility awarded JEOL a contract to supply a 1 mm CPMAS solid-state NMR probe for its 850 MHz widebore system. This is the first such order in Europe.
