Bridge12 Technologies announced in September 2013 the receipt of a three-year, $1.2 million Phase I NIH small business innovation research fast-track grant for the development of an integrated terahertz system for dynamic nuclear polarization–NMR that would eliminate the need for a second superconducting magnet.

In December 2013, Bruker installed its Ascent Aeon single-story 900 NMR magnet with active refrigeration at the University of California, San Diego.
