The final attendance figures for Pittcon 2017 (see IBO 3/15/17) have now been released. Total attendance rose 10.1% from last year (see IBO 4/15/16) to 14,144. However, conferee attendance (which excludes exhibitor personnel and “other,” such as press) was up 19.4% to 8,805. The results indicate the strength of Chicago, Illinois, as a location compared to Atlanta, Georgia, where the conference was held last year (see IBO 3/15/16).

But compared to 2014, the last time the show was held in Chicago, total attendance declined 13.0%, with conferee attendance down 8.0%.
