Portable Spectrometry Company Acquired
A SciAps spokesperson told IBO that DeltaNu has around 20 employees. According to a March SEC filing, SciAps raised $1.5 million in funding through a securities offering. DeltaNu recently released a new series of InspectoR portable Raman analyzers.
Woburn, MA 3/29/13; Santa Clara, CA 4/29/13—SciAps has acquired DeltaNu from Intevac for $500,000 in cash and up to $1 million in an earn out. DeltaNu develops and manufactures portable Raman spectroscopy analyzers. SciAps plans to combine its distribution, marketing and product development expertise with DeltaNu’s Raman technical expertise. DeltaNu will retain its operations in Wyoming. Intevac stated that it sold the business in order to concentrate on its night-vision products for the military.
