In May, Büchi Labortechnik acquired German company NIR-Online, a developer of online NIR and vision systems for industrial applications. The founders remain members of the management team.
HEL announced in June the acquisition of Magellan Instruments, a manufacturer of bioprocess off-gas analyzer systems.
In July, MOCON expanded its Board from eight to nine directors and named Kathleen Iverson and Paul R. Zeller to the Board, replacing Richard A. Proulx, who resigned. Ms. Iverson serves on the Board of Speed Commerce. Mr. Zeller is CFO of NatureWorks.
Servomex announced a partnership with H2scan to provide complete light-hydrocarbon measurement and analysis solutions to hydrocarbon-processing and natural gas customers.
Product Introductions
Aspect Imaging launched in March the FlowScan Continuous Drilling Fluid Measurement Platform for fluid measurements including drilling-mud rheology, flow rates and water cut.
CMN introduced in May the Near Infrared Intelligent Sensor to detect fuel parameters through advanced hydrocarbon profiling.
HORIBA released the Ultimate ENDA-7000 Series of CEMS for the continuous measurement of the concentrations of nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxygen and ammonia in flue-gas–stack streams.
In May, Emerson Process Management launched the Danalyzers 370XA GC for online analysis of natural gas.
AGC Instruments launched the NovaCHROM 2000 GC for the continuous analysis of ultrahigh-purity argon to ppb levels.
Metrohm Applikon introduced the ADI 7010 TOC Analyzer for measuring samples from 0–500 mg/L utilizing UV persulfate oxidation.
In June, AMETEK Process Instruments released the Western Research Model 9900 UV gas analyzer, suitable for single or multicomponent quantitative measurements. Up to five components can be measured simultaneously.
GOW-MAC introduced the Series 2300 Total Hydrocarbon Analyzer, employing FID.
Perten Instruments released the Process Plus software for its process instruments. It can be run independently of the physical installation location.
In June, IONICON launched the PTR-QiTOF system, featuring quadrupole ion guide technology for a mass resolution of more than 6,000 and a limit of detection below 1 pptv.
Analytical Systems KECO introduced the 205 H2S Crude Oil Analyzer for quantifying the amount of hydrogen sulfide content in crude oil and other liquids.
