Anzu Partners acquired Axsun Technologies from Volcano, a Royal Philips subsidiary, in October 2015. Axsun’s management team remains in place.

In October 2015, Finesse Solutions announce the establishment of a branch office in Leicester, UK.

GE Healthcare Life Sciences announced in November 2015 a collaboration to integrate Emerson’s DeltaV distributed control system with GE’s enterprise offerings and start-to-finish technologies for biomanufacturing.

In November 2015, Yokogawa acquired its Turkish distributor.

In January, MKS Umetrics changed its name to MKS Data Analytics Solutions.

Product Introductions

VUV Analytics launched in October 2015 the SVGA-100 gas analyzer for continuous monitoring and real-time measurement of gas purity and concentrations. It features a multi-port sample selection valve to allow for direct streaming of process gases.

Bacharach introduced the MGS-550 Gas Detector, which can utilize any combination of sensor technologies, and features single- or dual-sensor capability.

Thermo Fisher Scientific launched the Thermo Scientific Orion 3106 COD analyzer, which combines a digestion step with colorimetric analysis, for wastewater treatment plants.

In November 2015, ABB released the TALYS ASP400 single-point fiber optics–based FT-NIR analyzer, designed for real-time monitoring of refinery and petrochemical process streams. It is offered in two configurations.

ABB introduced in January the HP30 hydrogen process analyzer for monitoring hydrogen recycle and make up.

Mettler-Toledo introduced in November 2015 four new models of its tunable diode laser spectrometer (TDL). The GPro 500 is now available in four models for measuring oxygen and temperature, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.

Hamilton introduced the Incyte capacitance sensor for viable cell density monitoring in bioprocessing and the Dencytee optical sensor for total cell density measurement.

Yokogawa launched the TDLSp8000 TDL, the successor to the TDLS200, featuring improved reliability and operability. Over 1,500 units of the TDLS200 have been sold since its release in 2005.

In January, HORIBA introduced the PX-375 for measuring particulate matter utilizing XRF and beta-ray attenuation.

Axiom Analytical released the DMD-373 diamond ATR probe, with a 23 mm diameter, for lab and online process analytical applications.

Axiom Analytical introduced the DPR-212 ATR probe, which features a straight, 30 cm long configuration.
