CAMO Software named Pål Bråthen CEO in March.

In June, IONICON Analytik appointed Lukas Märk, who was previously responsible for marketing and sales, as CEO. He replaces his father, Tilmann Märk.

IONICON Analytik named MARS Bioanalytical a distribution partner for India.

In June, American Micro Detection Systems signed a multi-country distributor agreement with Badger Meter.

In June, Umetrics, an MKS company, announced a formal partnership with OSIsoft.

In July, Emerson Process Management acquired Net Safety Monitoring, a developer and manufacturer of fixed toxic and combustion gas detectors, flame detectors, safety systems and other products.

In August, Modcon and Invensys announced a partnership agreement.

Product Introductions

In May, Expo Technologies and Umetrics released NovaMath 5.0, which allows process-measurement devices controlled by Expo’s NovaPAC/NovaMath applications to run Umetrics SIMCA-P+ models in real time.

In July, Modcon introduced the MOD-8000 online process NMR analyzer, with linear spectral response across a broad range.

In June, Mettler-Toledo released the InTap 4070i portable dissolved oxygen (DO) measuring system. It allows brewers to measure DO concentrations anywhere in the process with resolution down to 0.1 ppb.

Emerson Process Management launched the Rosemount Analytical Model 56 dual-input liquid analyzer, featuring a color screen.

Multisensor Systems introduced the MS2000, a reagent-less online Trihalomethane (THM) water-monitoring instrument, which can measure THM concentrations to less than ppb without direct contact with the water.

In August, CAMO Software released the Unscrambler X Process Pulse real-time process-monitoring software for the identification of drifts in a process as it is running.

Hamilton introduced four new ARC sensor models: the Oxyferm FDA ARC for electrochemical DO measurement in pharmaceutical fermentation processes, the Oxygold G and B ARC for low-ppb DO trace measurements in water and beverages, and the Conducell PWSE ARC for low-conductivity measurements in pure and ultra-pure water.

Aquaread introduced the AP-7000-LTD (long-term deployment) multiparameter probe, with six standard and 12 optional electronics and a dual-wiper system.

Yokogawa launched the GC8000, which is based on individual GC modules (GCM) for multi-oven, parallel chromatography. Each GCM has up to six system clocks.

Siemens’ new Ultramat 23 gas analyzer features paramagnetic oxygen measurement.
