Endress+Hauser established a joint venture in Saudi Arabia with Anasia (Abudawood Group), with which it has collaborated for 10 years. The joint venture’s sales center operates from three locations and has 35 employees.

In February, Sartorius Stedim Biotech signed a private-label agreement with Trace Analyzers, giving Sartorius exclusive rights to market, distribute and service the BioPAT Trace glucose-lactate analyzers for pilot- and process-scale fermentation and cell cultivation processes.

Advanced Photonix signed a value-added reseller agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific for its T-Gauge industrial terahertz gauging system.

Product Introductions

YSI introduced the digital-based IQ Sensor Net 2020 XT for continuous process monitoring of water quality. It features a modular design that allows up to 20 sensors to be connected on one system and the ability to extend the network with up to three additional modules.

IONICON Analytik launched the PTR-QMS 500 series online MS for the detection and monitoring of volatile organic compounds. The fourth-generation system features a new heating-chamber layout and Ultra-pure ion source.

Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced the new Thermo Scientific IRIS 4600 Mid-IR Laser-Based Nitrous Oxide Analyzer, which uses a laser module developed by Thermo’s NovaWave Technologies unit. The system simultaneously measures nitrous oxide and water-vapor concentrations and is capable of measurements of 50–4000 ppb.

Axiom Analytical introduced the FPT-850SCN self-cleaning NIR transmission probe.

In March, Mettler-Toledo Process Analytics released the InPro 6860i series of dissolved oxygen sensors for the biopharmaceutical industry. Based on optical measurement, the series features Intelligent Sensor Management for predictive diagnostics and low drift.

Hach introduced the AF7000 streaming current monitor, featuring a sample chamber that is encased in solid stainless steel and a long-lasting industrial motor. It has a one second response time. A controller is optional.

Pfeiffer Vacuum launched the Prisma Plus MS-based Sputter Process Monitor SPM 220 and the High Pressure Analyzer HPA 220 for monitoring and documenting vacuuming processes. They are designed for pressure ranges up to 50 mbar.

Sales/Orders of Note

Siemens Industry Automation announced in January the signing of a five-year enterprise framework agreement with Shell for process GC. The agreement covers Shell companies, subsidiaries and joint ventures.

IONICON Analytik announced in February the shipment of its 200th PTS-MS trace gas analyzer. The company was founded in 1998 and has 20 employees.
