SciQuest Files for IPO
SciQuest originally went public in 1999 as an online supplier to labs. The company changed its business model in 2001 and was taken private in 2004. Current partners include Invitrogen and QIAGEN.
Cary, NC 3/26/10—SciQuest, a provider of on-demand strategic procurement and supplier enablement solutions, has filed a registration statement for an initial public offering of its stock. The number of shares to be offered and price range have not been set. SciQuest’s revenues grew 21.5% to $36.2 million in 2009. Among the products for which SciQuest provides procurement services are lab supplies.
