Aarhus, Denmark 9/3/12—CLC bio, a developer of software for next-generation sequencing, has acquired Molegro for an undisclosed amount. Molegro provides software for molecular docking, including the prediction and analysis of protein-ligand interactions, screening of compound databases for activities against a receptor and determination of molecule similarity. CLC bio stated that the acquisition supported its strategy of expanding its offerings beyond next-generation sequencing. “This acquisition underlines our dedication to always look for the most viable ways to enhance our analysis platform for the benefit of our customers,” said CLC bio CEO Thomas Knudsen.
