Tokyo, Japan 4/20/15—Shimadzu, a provider of analytical and measurement instrumentation, has named Teruhisa Ueda, PhD, as president and CEO. Dr. Ueda currently serves as senior managing executive officer, and general manager, Analytical & Measuring Instruments Division (AMI). He will replace Akira Nakamoto, who will become chairman. The approval of the change is expected to be made at the company’s annual shareholder meeting in late June.
