Swedesboro, NJ 5/7/18; Santa Clara, CA 5/7/18—Lab products distributor Thomas Scientific has acquired E&K Scientific for an undisclosed amount. In a letter to customers posted on its website, Thomas Scientific CEO Charles Simmons stated, “With this integration, Thomas Scientific will be better positioned to offer you, our customers, and the largest and fastest growing brand-centric distribution company focus on serving science.” According to E&K Scientific’s letter to its customers,  Thomas Scientific has annual revenues of  $150 million and over 700,000 SKUs.

Established in 1975, E&K Research is a distributor of life science research products. The company provides a wide range of consumables and lab equipment protein- and gene-based research and general lab workflows, including microplates and liquid handling-related consumables.
