VWR and Corning Sign Distribution Agreement
In 2005, VWR ceased distribution of Corning’s glassware products (see IBO 6/15/05). Corning filed suit against VWR, alleging breach of contract, which has now been settled. Much has changed in three years, including VWR’s ownership and management.
West Chester, PA 11/11/08—Laboratory product distributor VWR International has signed a distribution agreement with Corning Life Sciences that will take effect in January 2009. Corning Life Sciences manufacturers microplates, laboratory glassware and plasticware for cell cultures and liquid handling, as well as filtration devices. “In a committed effort to provide our customers with structured choice for both products and services, we are eager to have the well-respected Corning brand as a part of our product portfolio,” stated John M.
