VWR Buys Bioprocessing Component Firms
According to the firm’s third quarter earnings call, collectively, Integra and STI have annual net sales of $45 million. VWR has completed three acquisitions this year (see IBO 2/15/13, 9/15/13).
Radnor, PA 11/7/14—VWR has acquired Integra Companies and STI Components for an undisclosed amount. Integra Companies supplies single-use connectivity solutions, including tubing, hoses and gaskets for high-purity environments to the biopharmaceutical, food-processing and microelectronic industries in the Northeast US. STI Components provides high-purity fluid-handling components and custom-engineered solutions for the biopharmaceutical, food-processing and microelectronic industries in the Southeast US. “Acquiring Integra and STI Components will increase our offering of single-use disposable products and clean-room kitting for our customers,” said Mark McLoughlin, senior vice president and president, US Lab and Distribution Services, at VWR.
