White Plains, NY 7/13/12—Xylem Analytics, the analytical instrument division of water technology firm Xylem, has acquired Danish firm MJK Automation for approximately $12.3 million. MJK Automation manufactures flow and level sensors, and measurement and control technology for water and wastewater applications. Its product lines include ultrasonic, hydrostatic and electromagnetic plus Remote Telemetry Units for monitoring and control units for field, online and life station applications. In fiscal 2012, the company had sales of $10.7 million. “MJK’s expertise in water and wastewater applications enhances our analytical instrumentation platform by allowing us to add physical parameters to our wastewater offering, as well as providing energy-saving controllers for field applications,” stated Xylem Analytics President Chris McIntire. MJK Automation has operations in Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, the US and Singapore.
