What is the ACT Label?

The ACT Label is the premier eco-label for laboratory products, akin to a nutrition label for sustainability. It provides clear, third-party verified data on the environmental impact of a product across its lifecycle from manufacturing and energy use to packaging and end-of-life. Our ACT label score reflects Grenova’s performance across key environmental categories.

Manufacturing Impact – Our Richmond, Virginia facility was redesigned in 2021 with upgrades like LED lighting, low-flow toilets, and reusable kitchenware to reduce our environmental footprint.
Energy Use – Under typical use, TipNovus consumes just 2.2 kWh of energy per day.
Water Consumption – Each TipNovus wash cycle uses approximately 8.2 gallons (30.9 liters) of water, which is less than the water required to manufacture a new rack of pipette tips.
End-of-Life Considerations – TipNovus and its packaging include recyclable materials, though some components are still landfilled.
