ABB expands offering for oil and gas sector
Acquisition will strengthen ABB’s presence in Western Canada
Calgary, Alberta, November 12, 2008 — ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, announced today it has acquired the assets of Ber-Mac Electrical and Instrumentation Ltd. to expand its presence and capabilities in Western Canada.
ABB did not disclose the value of the transaction, which is subject to the customary regulatory approvals.
Ber-Mac provides its clients with expertise in industrial automation, electrical and instrumentation design, process optimization, panel fabrication and field services. It is particularly strong in the Oil & Gas industry.
