Additions to Artel Sales, Marketing and Finance Teams to Drive Company-wide Growth

Focusing on the continued growth of its business and the expansion of its overall liquid measurement and handling capabilities, Artel recently brought three new team members aboard, each aimed at helping propel a specific area of the company’s growth strategy.

“Our goal has always been to become the go-to provider of liquid handling solutions for lab scientists, worldwide,” says Artel’s president, Kirby Pilcher. “To get there, we identified and acquired the talent we need to take us to the next level in three key areas: sales, marketing and finance.”

Responsible for bolstering Artel’s marketing and sales efforts to increase top-line growth, Graham Long, our new vice president of business development, brings an integrated, applications-and-outcomes approach to serving the market.

Graham comes to Artel from Base Pair Technologies, where he successfully led their business development and marketing team. He brings over two decades of bioscience industry experience, with a wide range of leadership positions at companies such as PerkinElmer, Life & Analytical Sciences, TGR BioSciences, and CryoXtract Instruments.

Kathleen Chase, our new vice president of finance and strategy, was taken on to provide accounting and financial analysis, reporting, and strategic support to our management team in the midst of an aggressive expansion of the Artel’s offerings and customer base.

Kathleen led the corporate financial planning and analysis team at Fisher Scientific International Inc., providing direct support for the company CFO, as well the business as a whole. She has held top finance and business development positions for companies including IDEXX Laboratories, EnviroLogix, and Honeywell, Inc.

To round out the team with a strong sales presence, Keith Rist was brought in as senior director of enterprise sales to provide an experienced, life-science focused customer-facing resource. Based in the Philadelphia region, Keith will cover the Mid-Atlantic territory, including many top Global Key Accounts. His primary focus will be on developing the BioPharma market, selling platforms, instruments, consumables and services.

Keith previously worked for companies such as Rainin, Beckman, Agilent, Applied Biosystems and Dionex. Originally trained as a chemist, he is particularly knowledgeable in mass spectrometry, analytical processes and biologics manufacturing.

“We’re really excited about the latest additions to the Artel family,” says Pilcher. “Their wide range of skills and industry experience should mesh nicely, helping us reach or even exceed our growth targets.”
