Advalytix Launches “AmpliGrid Certified” Label for Accurate Single Cell Placement for Molecular Analysis via Flow Cytometry
MUNICH, Germany–The Advalytix product team of Olympus is launching a certification program for flow cytometry facilities who have demonstrated > 90% success rate of placing single cells into the reaction sites on Advalytix’ 1µl AmpliGrid PCR slides. Among the first to achieve certification are flow cytometry facilities located at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA; UMass Medical School, Worcester, MA; Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY; Creighton University, Omaha, NE; Duke University Human Vaccine Institute, Durham, NC; UNC at Chapel Hill; MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX; NIH’s NHLBI and NCI, Bethesda, MD; the Gladstone Institutes, San Francisco, CA, Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA and the German Rheumatism Research Center, Berlin, Germany.
“More and more of our investigators want to follow-up flow sorting with single cell molecular analysis – single cell PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, or sequencing,” says Martin Bigos, Flow Core Director at the Gladstone Institutes (San Francisco, CA). “The AmpliGrid integrates seamlessly with our flow sorters and provides the sensitivity needed for successful downstream single cell molecular analysis.”
“Flow operators tell us that setting up AmpliGrid sorting is straight forward,” says Frank Feist, Executive Director Advalytix Business with Olympus America Inc. “Investigators love the ability to optically verify correct cell placement on the AmpliGrid. Now, when they interpret PCR results, they no longer need to worry whether a cell was present in the reaction.”
Advalytix’ AmpliGrid single-cell molecular analysis platform delivers robust results with simple workflows. Seamless integration with cell sorting provides investigators with a simple, yet powerful tool to investigate genetic heterogeneity and rare cells. Key applications include immunology, oncology, and stem cell research. The Advalytix suite of solutions for flow cytometry also includes CellEvator, a highly effective sample mixer for BD’s FACSAriaTM.
