AnalytiChem expands European presence and chemical offering with the acquisition of Chem-Lab NV

Eschborn – Germany – AnalytiChem Holding GmbH has announced today the acquisition of Chem-Lab NV and its subsidiaries Chem-Lab Analytical bvba and SpectraTrace BV.

Chem-Lab is for 28 years specialized in the production of tailor-made reagents. Located in Zedelgem, Belgium, the company manufactures solvent and acid mixtures, organic and inorganic standards and buffer solutions. The subsidiary SpectraTrace manufactures high purity acids with ppb or ppt levels of impurities, which are essential for trace elemental analysis. Chem-Lab Analytical bvba, which serves laboratory customers throughout Belgium with chemicals, consumables, and equipment, will join the AnalytiChem group of companies, too.

“Chem-Lab is an ideal fit for our organization as we can offer our customers an even broader range of custom-made chemicals, which is complementary to our Bernd Kraft portfolio.” said Raoul Biskupek, CEO of AnalytiChem, referring to the recent acquisition of a Germany based manufacturer. “What is more, we are delighted to retain with Jan Strobbe the general manager of Chem-Lab. The AnalytiChem group will benefit from his invaluable manufacturing experience and market insight.”

“To maintain the growth of Chem-Lab it is necessary to address an international market,” added Jan Strobbe. “I strongly believe joining AnalytiChem is the ideal way of ensuring future growth and I am looking forward to support my new colleagues all over the world.”
