Anton Paar Opens New Technology Center

“Today we are not only celebrating the inauguration of our new Technology Center, but also the start of an exciting chapter in our mission to drive innovation and push the boundaries of technology,” said Dr. Friedrich Santner, CEO of Anton Paar GmbH, at the opening of the new Anton Paar Technology Center. “Not only will we create products here, we will also find solutions for the challenges of tomorrow.”

Modern, sustainable, innovative
The technology center offers around 26,000 sqm of gross floor space for around 1,000 workplaces. The core of the new technology center is a large, modern multi-purpose hall on the first floor, which can accommodate up to 300 people. Particular attention was paid to the modern and sustainable design and the integration of alternative energy sources – a solar thermal ice energy storage system with heat pumps covers around 40% of the cooling and heating requirements, and PV and solar thermal systems were also installed. Two atriums flood the interior with daylight, reducing the need for artificial lighting.

“The new technology center is Anton Paar’s most modern and largest construction project worldwide. It offers enough space for the departments that previously had to move to different locations and are now returning to the headquarters. It also provides space for the company’s growth and future challenges. In this way, we are promoting a more direct exchange of ideas and increasing innovative strength,” explained Dominik Santner, COO of Anton Paar GmbH and General Manager of 24 Asset Management GmbH, which is responsible for the project.

Many thanks to construction companies and employees
Around 1,700 employees celebrated the completion of the technology center. Dominik Santner thanked the representatives of the companies involved in the construction and emphasized the work of the employees in particular: “A project of this dimension requires not only the will, but also the resources. With an investment of around 60 million euros, we would particularly like to thank the employees of the Anton Paar Group. Their dedication and hard work over the past few years have made this possible.”
