Ashland, VA — Effective July 1, 2012, Anton Paar USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Anton Paar GmbH, officially launches the recently acquired Petrotest product line. Anton Paar USA will provide all sales, support and service related activities to customers in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

The Petrotest Group, which is based in Dahlewitz, Germany, was acquired by Anton Paar GmbH effective March 1. The Petrotest Group, renamed to “Petrotest GmbH, a company of Anton Paar,” is recognized for producing equipment that determines the flash point of petroleum products and other liquids. In addition to the well-known flash point testers, products include penetrometers and distillation, oxidation and stability testing equipment. Customers include globally active refineries, manufacturers of biofuel, vehicles and bitumen; and companies in the chemical, beverage, and food industries, among others.
