Applikon partners with Sotelab Brazil to strengthen LatAm distribution network
Delft (NL) March, 2020, The Netherlands: – Dutch-based upstream bioprocess equipment specialist Applikon Biotechnology B.V. (Applikon) has announced a partnership with one of Latin America’s leading suppliers and distributors of laboratory and life sciences equipment, Sotelab of Brazil.
The partnership between Applikon and Rio de Janeiro-based Sotelab Sociedade Técnica de Laboratório Ltda (Sotelab) significantly boosts South American market presence for Applikon’s advanced cultivation systems.
Laboratory sector leader
Sotelab is an important name in Brazil’s Medical Equipment & Supply Wholesale sector, with outlets in the major cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. It acts as agents for many leading laboratory equipment brands, supplying high technology equipment to life sciences companies, universities, research institutes, blood and industrial cell banks.
The distribution agreement allows Sotelab to act as distribution agents and offer technical and application support for the full range of Applikon products, including its innovative (single use) stirred tank bioreactors, advanced control systems and complete software solutions.
