Asynt Launches Storming New Low Temperature Reaction System

DrySyn SnowStorm, Asynt’s cost-effective solution for low temperature reaction chemistry, offers active temperature control without ice formation and the ability to cool and stir up to 12 reaction

tubes in parallel.

The new DrySyn SnowStorm is ideal for a wide range of applications in chemistry, process development and biology. The ability to cool and stir reaction tubes in parallel, and to hold constant sub-ambient temperatures for long periods, makes this a highly attractive tool. In addition, unattended operation allows for overnight reactions to be completed.

The active temperature control feature prevents temperature fluctuations and gives excellent reproducibility and accurate cooling ramps, for example, for crystallisation studies. Purging the glass

dome of the DrySyn SnowStorm with nitrogen/argon prevents the formation of ice around the reactors at sub-ambient temperatures.

Compatibility with all standard laboratory circulators and magnetic stirrers allows cooling to –50ºC and heating to 150ºC, providing excellent versatility. The DrySyn SnowStorm’s simple modular design

ensures easy assembly and disassembly, and operation is so simple that only minimal training is required. A choice of five 4-position reaction vial inserts hold different sizes of tube from various

manufacturers, so that configuration to individual requirements takes only seconds. Custom tube sizes are also catered for. By facilitating temperature control and stirring in a small benchtop footprint, DrySyn SnowStorm enables throughput to be increased both cost-effectively and space-efficiently.
