Bayer CropScience Extends Commitment to Linguamatics Text Mining Platform for Agrochemical Research
Linguamatics Ltd, a leader in enterprise text mining for the life science and other markets, today announced that Bayer CropScience has renewed its commitment to use the I2E semantic knowledge-discovery platform to identify trends and activities in the crop protection business. Bayer CropScience has been using I2E since mid-2007, primarily for the analysis of patents and scientific literature. I2E’s natural language querying and ability to exploit agro-related thesauri facilitate efficient and focused analysis of large document sets and full-text sources. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
“We are delighted that Bayer CropScience has chosen to extend their commitment to using I2E to find the insights and intelligence they need from their text resources,” commented Roger Hale, COO and Co-founder of Linguamatics. “I2E offers powerful and flexible text mining that is easily optimized to provide up-to-date, relevant and high quality answers for a particular domain like agrochemicals.”
