Bruker Introduces Mineral Analyzer System for SEM and Micro-XRF

CAPE TOWN, South Africa – At the 35th International Geological Congress, Bruker today introduced the 3rd generation Advanced Mineral Identification and Characterization System (AMICS) software package, for both their QUANTAXTM energy dispersive X-ray spectrometers (EDS) for SEM and their benchtop M4 TORNADO Micro-XRF spectrometer.

AMICS is a highly innovative software suite for automated identification and quantification of mineral and synthetic phases. Its versatile automation and forward-thinking quantitative analysis capabilities make AMICS an ideal tool for research in geological and material sciences, as well as for fast, efficient and precise mineral identification and classification in various industrial and exploration applications, such as mining, oil & gas, coal, cement, refining and recycling.

In conjunction with the Bruker QUANTAXTM EDS system, AMICS allows mineral liberation analysis and other mineral processing optimization data to be generated. This includes modal mineralogy, pa
