CAMLAB Ltd acquires Patterson Scientific

Camlab Ltd based in Cambridge UK has further strengthened its product portfolio through the acquisition of the trade and assets of MJ Patterson (Scientific) Ltd (“Patterson Scientific”) based in Luton, a well known UK regional Laboratory supplies distributor. Camlab, a No 1 supplier to the water testing sector in the UK also has a laboratory supply division, a comprehensive service and maintenance business for Life Sciences and the environmental sectors, and a manufacturing division. It’s bespoke plastics design and production capability is well known for innovation in plastics and has recently developed a double tamper evident bottle for secure sample handling in the drug testing market.

Patterson Scientific is also known Internationally as an exporter and consolidator to the EMEA regions. It is also is one of the few approved European suppliers to the World Health Organisation and has long term agreements with the IAPSO purchasing group (HIV, Malaria and TB). This is a key factor in the acquisition designed to strengthen Camlab’s existing export business.
