Industry veteran joins Cerno Bioscience to drive direct and channel sales of current and next generation Mass Spectrometry software.

Cerno Bioscience, a leader in the application of modern mathematical techniques to mass spectrometry, announced today that Steve Best has joined the company in the role of Director of Sales, North America. Steve will oversee all direct and channel sales efforts in North America to push the continued adoption of its novel, patented technologies for improving the quality, accuracy, and reliability of MS analysis.

Supporting the analytical laboratory with instrumentation and software in sales, technical management and business development roles, Steve previously served in key positions at both small and large instrumentation companies and has extensive experience with workstation and enterprise chromatography and MS software. Steve previously served in sales, technical management and business development roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific for the informatics group. Steve also has held sales positions at Thru-Put Systems, a start-up chromatography software company that Thermo Fisher purchased, and at Agilent Technologies in the chemical analysis instrumentation and laboratory data systems division.

“Cerno’s innovative software technology is leaps and bounds ahead of the competition in the mass spec market,” Best notes. “This is software based on sound fundamental principles which can make a dramatic impact on improving the quality and efficiency of any mass spectrometer.”
