Chiral Technologies, Inc. Enters into Cooperative Agreement with BioTools, Inc.
West Chester, Pa – Chiral Technologies, Inc. (CTI) announced today that it has entered into a cooperative agreement with BioTools, Inc. of Jupiter, Fla., the leader in vibrational chiroptical spectroscopy.
BioTools is recognized as the leader in vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) technology used in structure characterization of chiral drugs and biopharmaceuticals. BioTools manufactures and sells VCD spectrometers, which are employed to determine absolute configuration of enantiomers of racemic mixtures. BioTools also offers custom VCD-based services to provide their clients with the absolute configuration of single enantiomers, the knowledge of which is necessary for IND submissions.
“Entering into this alliance with Chiral Technologies, the leader in enantioselective chromatography and owner of the most comprehensive library of novel chiral stationary phases, will significantly expand our VCD-based services and help us better serve our client needs,” said Dr. Rina Dukor, President of BioTools.
“We are very pleased to announce this alliance with such an innovative company. We believe this collaboration will be very fruitful, and we are excited with the possibility of combining our expertise in enantioselective chromatography and VCD technology,” said Dr. Elena Eksteen, Sr. Manager, Business Development & Planning of Chiral Technologies.
